Organic Skin Care Opportunity
From LoveToKnow Organic
If you are looking for an organic skin care opportunity to make some money from home, your choices are extremely limited. If you are a spa or salon owner, your options are opened up only slightly. Organic skin care products are difficult to find in this widely unregulated industry. Here are a few of your limited options.
MLM Organic Skin Care Opportunity
If you do a Google search on “organic skin care opportunity” you will find pages and pages. Unfortunately, those pages all refer to the same product line: Miessence.
Miessence was founded in 2003 and boasts of being the world’s first comprehensive range of certified organic skin care products. They also offer additional organic products including:
- Hair care
- Cosmetics
- Health
- Personal care
Their quality standards are high with their ingredients being held to the same organic standards as certified organic foods. This is very impressive considering that the skin care industry is generally unregulated, allowing manufacturers to use all kinds of nasty ingredients without consumers’ knowledge.
Product Line
The Miessence product line consists of almost 100 products running the gamut from skin care to nutritional products to household products. There are actually three divisions in this wide line of items:
- Miessence—skin care, cosmetics, personal and oral care
- MiVitality—nutritional products
- MiEnviron—household cleaning products
You can view the retail site to get an idea of what these products sell for. They are not inexpensive by any means. A single bottle of cleanser retails for an average price of slightly over $40. At the higher end, a half ounce bottle of skin conditioner and moisturizer is nearly $80.
Income Opportunity
While the start-up costs are reasonable at about $60, they also recommend an initial product purchase of $250. This initial order will entitle you to a 20 to 30 percent profit. Not exactly an amazing profit margin, but not bad either.
If you want to have product available to actually sell, you will need a larger initial order. If you are going to sell a product, you have to use it. $250 will likely only get you enough to try the line out for yourself.
Your biggest money-maker will be introducing others to this business and signing them up under you. This is typically how network marketing businesses work, and if you have the drive and patience as well as an initial investment, this does have the potential to earn a decent income. Miessence states that one of their top people makes $20,000 per month. This should not be considered a typical income, however.
You also can earn through selling products via party-plan type gatherings as well as through fundraisers.
Training
Your initial $60 fee will give you a basic kit of information and training. However, you will need to purchase additional training and sales aids. This encompasses a large assortment of posters, leaflets, meetings and even “newspapers” that you can use to promote your new business.
They also offer you two websites; one is a site to promote your business opportunity, the other is a retail site for customers. They will have your name and contact information so you receive credit for sales as well as leads for those interested in joining you in your business.
Other Organic Skin Care Opportunity
If you own a salon or spa you have limited, additional options for offering organic skin care products. One option would be to purchases an established line of products at wholesale and sell them from your business at retail prices.
- Eminence offers hand-made organic skin care products with ingredients from Hungary. While prices are not listed on their website, those interested in becoming a distributor are encouraged to contact Eminence for more information, including minimum ordering requirements.
With a wide range of products including cleansers, masks and even tea, Eminence products are sure to make an elegant addition to any established spa or salon product line.
- Suki Naturals is another line offering an organic skin care opportunity for established salons and spas. They offer a complete line of organic skin care, hair care and cosmetics.
- If none of these meet your needs, consider purchasing wholesale ingredients and creating your own organic skin care products. Many of these wholesalers will assist you with personalized packaging and even formulations to help you develop a successful product line that you can market any way you please.

-- Contributed by: DanahindersI just wanted to give you an update about Miessence. The initial start up fee is correct, except there is no fee or purchase for additional training materials. That is offered free of charge in the companies back office with many audio tutorials, presentations, and materials that are free to use. There are also now 5 websites that are available for all members to use with only one of them with a fee. As far as for spas and salons, they can also use and market Miessence products and buy at a discount. If anyone would like more detailed information from someone who actually works for the company please feel free to contact me through my website.. MiNaturalOrganics.com
